Leadership Built on Skills, Experience and Work Ethic
Being a successful school board director requires a combination of key qualities: the right skillset to make informed decisions, an open mind to consider diverse perspectives, and a strong work ethic to stay engaged and follow through on commitments.
I believe I bring a balance of skills, experience, and dedication to the table. My background in budgeting, policy, and community engagement has prepared me to make thoughtful, strategic decisions—but just as importantly, I’m ready to put in the work.
Accountability, Collaboration and Transparency
Transparency and accountability are the foundation of effective school board leadership. We must provide regular updates on budget decisions, policies, and progress toward district goals, allowing the community to stay informed about how resources are allocated and how decisions are made to impact student outcomes.
At the same time, collaboration is essential for creating policies and strategies that truly reflect the needs of students. By actively listening to educators, parents, and community members, we can make informed decisions that align with district goals and prioritize student success. Regular reviews of our progress will help us stay accountable to the community and ensure we are always focused on what’s best for students.
